In order to conduct its business and provide services that will ensure the safe and secure use of its products and services, including various types of energy such as gas, electricity, and heat, SHIZUOKA GAS CO., LTD.　(hereinafter referred to as "the Company") collects and uses customers' names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information"), directly or through contractors or other affiliated parties, when responding to inquiries, conducting safety inspections, selling equipment, and performing various types of construction work. The Company recognizes that the protection of Personal Information is an important social responsibility, and to fulfill this responsibility, the Company handles Personal Information in accordance with the following.

The Company will use Personal Information for the following purposes:

Energy supply and its diffusion and expansion

(2)

Work associated with installation of energy supply systems

(3)

Security of energy supply systems and energy-consuming appliances (kitchen, hot water supply, air conditioning, etc.)

(4)

Provision of services related to the energy supply business, such as automatic notification of leaks and fires, remote supply shutoff, etc.

(5)

Sales (including leasing and rental), installation, repair and inspection, product development, and after-sales service of energy-consuming appliances, alarms, and other equipment, as well as residential equipment and lifestyle-related products

(6)

Notification and PR regarding services and products, surveys, data collection, education, research and development related to the above businesses

Implementation of other operations associated with (1) through (6) above

 

To facilitate the above-mentioned operations, the Company may entrust part of its operations to financial institutions, information processing companies, or partner companies to which account transfers are made. When this occurs, the Company may provide Personal Information to these contractors as necessary. In these cases, the Company will supervise the contractors appropriately by entering into contracts with them regarding the handling of Personal Information.

We will not disclose or provide Personal Information to any third party, except in the cases described in 2. Purpose of Use and in any of the following cases:

The Company may jointly use Personal Information with gas retailers and general gas pipeline service providers as follows. For the purpose of joint use, the Company jointly uses Personal Information by limiting the number of businesses within the necessary scope for each item of Personal Information to be used jointly. The Company does not necessarily share Personal Information with all gas retailers and general gas pipeline service providers.

・Conclusion, amendment, or termination of a transportation service contract

・Meter reading, maintenance, inspection and replacement of facilities, emergency response to gas leaks, etc., and performance of other services by general gas pipeline service provider under transportation service agreement

*1 Gas retailer is a business operator that does not fall under any of the grounds for refusal of registration as prescribed in Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the Gas Business Act and that has been registered as a gas retailer by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. *2 A general gas pipeline service provider is a business operator licensed under Article 35 of the Gas Business Act.

・Basic information such as the customer's name is managed by the gas retailer with which the retail supply contract has been concluded (basic information on customers who receive a final guaranteed supply is managed by the general gas pipeline service provider whose service area includes the service point).

・Information on the service point, such as the specific number of the service point is managed by the general gas pipeline service provider whose service area includes the service point (including service points for specified gas pipeline service provided by general gas pipeline service provider).

・Information on the safety of energy-consuming appliances, etc. at the service point is managed by the gas retail business operator with which the retail supply contract has been concluded.

For inquiries, corrections, or additions to customer’s own information held by the Company, the Company will respond to the inquiry or correct the information within a reasonable period and scope after confirming the identity of the person making the request.

Please understand that the Company may not be able to provide you with the services you request if you delete all or part of your own information held by the Company (please note that the Company may not be able to respond to requests for deletion of information held in accordance with relevant laws and regulations).

The Company will strictly comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the protection of customer information, as well as review and improve the above measures as necessary.
